Two-Day, Part 107, General Industry, Critical Infrastructure Inspection
This course helps to develop and expand the attendee’s aeronautical knowledge required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for commercial operations as a Remote Pilot with small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) rating. This course will prepare students to safety fly drones in the National Airspace System (NAS) and establish Standard Operation Guidelines (SOG/ SOP’S) by establishing a firm foundation for as a professional commercial sUAS pilot.
This is accomplished by the familiarization with regulations (14 CFR Part 107), airspace classification, operating requirements, and flight restrictions, aviation weather sources and effects of weather on sUAS, sUAS loading, emergency procedures, crew resource management, radio communication procedures, performance of sUAS, physiological effects of drugs and alcohol, aeronautical decision making and judgment, airport operations, and maintenance and preflight inspection procedures.
Course includes:
Instructional flying an unmanned aerial system (UAS) for safe, effective flying at high risk locations i.e. Power line, bridges, cell tower, open water, factories etc.
Follows FAA’s ACS guidelines for training Remote Pilots
